READ ME

Hey SPU,

I have some concerns over some issues that I wish to let everyone to know.

1st of all, I would like to inform there is an upcoming Competition - Singapore Opens 2009 held in Seng Kang on the 8th and 9th of August. Further details can be found on this link:

My advice for you guys is to spend some time over your next weekend to browse through the big field there, to feel the warm intense and how the Ultimate is all about. Enjoy watching the matches going on, and pick up some great players on the field. Look at them thoroughly and you will definitely learn a lot of new techniques out there.

2nd issue: DISC! What is a Ultimate player without disc? Those who do not have the disc yet, please make sure u get at least ONE DISC within 1 week time from now. You can purchase disc during the Singapore Opens 2009 event. Strictly do not attend of training if you do not have a disc for the upcoming training.

Next, about what Hwee Siang had addressed you during last Thursday training, I hope all of you have seriously thought about it. If I am a newbie, joining any club will definitely improve your overall skills. The phase which ZD will be running through will be similar and closest to SPU style of play, giving an additional “SPU training” for you guys who would really want to improve. Yes! Seize the chance to participate it to learn if you have the time, without neglecting your studies. For those who could not allocate time for this phase, you need not worry. Focus on your studies first, as during the semester break you will definitely touch on similar stuffs. =)
Do not feel like joining ZD at all? Take that as an opportunity to advance yourself and challenge your seniors. Even if you will to join ZD and realise you would advance yourself furthermore in your future, you can quit ZD and join other clubs. They will not condemn you. But, personally I have my reasons why I do not want SPU to join outside club (other than ZD) during your 3 years in poly. Ask me if you want to know.

Lastly, end of semester exams are coming. Some of you will be probably rushing for assignments and projects to hand up. Priority will definitely be on your studies. I will forgive you this semester if you are busy on studies now. This is because you are year 1 semester 1. YES. Forgive but I will not forget. ALL YEAR 1 STUDENTS, make sure you hit MINIMUM 3.5GPA! Do not give me excuse if you could not hit it. YEAR 1 only and yet you do not want to put in effort? I will punish you for your poor academic results. What are the punishments? Something which you will remember in your poly life.

Mark my words,
MingJie
